Therapy Fee

Individual therapy sessions are $200 for a standard 50-minute session.

As of 1 July 2026, the Medicare rebate for a standard 50-minute session under a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) is $101.55. This brings the out-of-pocket cost to $98.45 per session.

Eligible clients can access up to 10 individual mental health treatment sessions per calendar year, subject to the requirements of the Medicare Benefits Schedule.

Assessment Fee

Generally, MHTP applies to therapy sessions alone and not psychological assessments. In some circumstances, however, a paediatrician may refer for a complex neurodevelopmental assessment where Medicare rebates may apply. NDIS funding may also be available for eligible individuals.
